TEAM REGISTRATION BRIEF

There are strictly only 20 team starting positions available  - On a first to register basis.

To enter, your vehicle must be a Land Rover Defender or its lineage from 1983: 110,90,127,/130, County, Perentie or Defender


Registrations open on the 1st of June 2026! We will ignore any requests to register before the offical opening of registrations. Register your EOI now, get a jump on release time. 


Registrations officially close on the 1st of September, or once all positions are filled.

Officials may end registrations at any time due to logistical requirements.


Team Captains must be a current Bona Fide member of the Defenders of Australia Club Inc. Team Captains are responsible for the teams registration, and by virtue are the teams main contact at all times. 


Teams must comprised of a 2 members, a Driver and a Navvy. Both must be fully licensed drivers (Open or P’s).  


Teams must declare a team name on the registration, in the format of 'Team [.....]' 


A non-refundable deposit of $400 per team is required on registration to secure your teams starting position, (Consider this a team vehicle fee). The total event fee is $3,500 for a two-person team + a $500 Partnership Contribution to the Cameleers Inc. Final team invoices will be issued in January 2027. 


Team registrations are on a first-in basis and also reflect vehicle number and whose dust you’ll be eating.


The team registration fees cover your team's…  

  • Campsites / Accommodation 
  • Permits fees & charges, 
  • Breakfast and Dinner is included most days, you'll have to work for it tho.
  • Event Insurances, 
  • Trophy Wolf Pack, inc – compulsory vehicle stickers, your team’s merch, and few surprises. 


The DT27 rolls out from Cooktown on the 1st of June 2027.


In the spirit of the trophies past, and in pursuit of the DOAC Trophy, teams will be awarded points from the minute your team registers, and throughout the event, some teams will know about, some are implied, and others are a complete secret!  


Obviously, there will be extra points for the best trophy themed vehicle! And the famed Spirit Award. 


The DTSC will be held at a secret location for two days before the roll out in Cooktown, Clues to its location will be provided on team registration pack. The first team challenge, is getting there on time!  


Due to the nature of the event, all participants must be 18+ to participate
